— I came to these conclusions less articulately several years ago, more people would too if they were forced to take a hard look at Democratic urban leadership or the competing promises of the Civil Rights Era, and probably plenty are stuck where Rand Paul was in that Rachel Maddow interview where he got backed into the corner of “muh Constitition” and Maddow crowed that he had wrongthunk in doubting the Civil Rights act.
