A rare inherited eye disorder affecting the vitreous body, retina, and choroid, the three main structures involved in vision within the back of the eye; it is characterized by progressive degeneration and abnormal changes in these tissues, often leading to visual impairment such as reduced vision, retinal abnormalities, and sometimes detachment or atrophy.
— Additional single cases had final diagnoses of retinitis punctata albescens, autosomal dominant vitreoretinochoroidopathy, atrophy of the choroid and retina resembling gyrate atrophy but without hyperornithinemia, exudative vitreoretinopathy, optic atrophy, Alström syndrome, Bardet Biedl syndrome and Stargardt disease.
