A space of non-variable width: ⊣ ⊢ equal to the width of a period (full stop) or comma, inserted after ⟨“⟩ or ⟨‘⟩ and before ⟨”⟩ or ⟨’⟩ (and sometimes ⟨?⟩ or ⟨!⟩), unless a punctuation mark occurs there.
