    — Specimens of crystalline rock were ground to paper thinness, peered at under the microscope where the force lines spring to view. By plotting hundreds of force lines from different parts of a mountain, he deduces the slidings and thrustings that formed the mountain. He calls his method petrofabrics, thinks it may prove useful in locating ore veins.
