  1. A set of bits with only a single low (0) bit, with the remaining bits high (1).
    — One-cold encoding has the same advantages and disadvantages as one-hot. The difference is that the active bit is logic zero rather than logic one. One-cold encoding is most useful for systems that have active-low enable signals.
