    — The book is almost entirely in verse, usually that of the so-called ‘Cuaderna Via’ of the Archpriest’s predecessors, a stanza, namely, of four monorhyming lines, each of fourteen syllables, the monotony of which is greatly reduced by the freedom and ease with which the poet treats it.
