Synonym of brachiocephalic vein.
— The thoracic duct ends usually in the commencement of the innominate vein, but it may enter the internal jugular, subclavian or vertebral vein. Variations in the arrangement of the main lymphatic vessels are not uncommon. The thoracic duct may remain on the right side and terminate in the right innominate vein, or the duct may be duplicated or represented by a plexus of vessels in part of its course.
