— But it is wrong to say that these propositions can be deduced from, or proved by, the premisses associated with them, and that the "clearest sign" that the pair is inconcludent is the fact that "the conclusions deduced from them destroy one another": the conclusion simply cannot be 'inferred' from the given propositions —and in any case they do not contradict one another since they are about different terms.
