— While waiting for communications to open for my return to America on furlough, I made the trip to Yung-an by boat and bus. The last lap of the journey was made by ricksha out into the country from Yung-an....Though they had been here in Yung-an only a few weeks, they welcomed me as old members of the institution, and led me to Prof. Lee's bungalow, where my older pupil, Laurence Lee, and his wife were waiting for me.
