— Judging by the meteorites already re- covered, the shower covered an area of more than 500 square kilometres embracing six communes with a population of more than 100,000 on Kirin's outskirts and in Yungchi and Chiaoho counties.[…] Large numbers of fragments fell in the area of the Lichia brigade of the Tatun Commune on the outskirts of Kirin and the Chiangmifeng Commune in Yungchi County. The larger fragments fell around the Chiutso and Nanlan brigades of the Chinchu Commune. The three largest meteorites continued southwesterly in the original direction of flight and fell in the Santaitzu brigade of the Chiuchan Commune and the Tahuangti brigade of the Kutientzu Commune on the outskirts of Kirin City and in the Kaoshan brigade of the Huapichang Commune in Yungchi County.

— According to tradition, Luzu [translating 呂祖 /吕祖 (Lǚzǔ)] was from Jingzhao [translating 京兆 (Jīngzhào)] Prefecture, in which Changan [translating 長安 /长安 (Cháng'ān)], the Tang Dynasty (618–908) capital, was situated; however, he is also reputed to be from Hezhong [translating 河中 (Hézhōng)] Prefecture, the present-day Yongji District of Shanxi.
