— Simultaneous wildfires have erupted across the nation, particularly in the Yeongnam region, including Sancheong in South Gyeonsang Province and Uiseong in North Gyeongsang Province, burning forest areas equivalent to 10,900 soccer fields. Tragically, four individuals, including wildfire suppression personnel and public officials, have died while six others sustained injuries in Sancheong. According to the Korea Forest Service, as of 6 AM on March 24, wildfires in the Yeongnam region, including Sancheong in South Gyeonsang Province, Uiseong in North Gyeongsang Province, Ulju in Ulsan, and Gimhae in South Gyeonsang Province, have consumed 7,689 hectares of forest.
