    — A case in point is a group of teachers in Guangxi's Tiandeng County, apparently still dominated by leftists. By July 1984 the social and political climate was so inhospitable that 15 teachers were forced to leave the area, even though they did not have proper documentation to do so, and more were planning to do the same.
