    — By Cherokee custom he married Tiana Rogers Gentry; within the tribe it was a real marriage, not a casual liaison. To Houston and to other whites his wife was known as Diana.

词源

Modern contraction of Tatiana and Christiana. In the USA it is also explained as a form of Diana in such unrelated languages as Samoan and Cherokee (but the author Tiana Bighorse is a Navajo).
