PFL

— This provision makes permanent the PFML tax credit and makes three modifications. First, it expands the credit allowing employers to claim the credit for a portion of paid family leave (PFL) insurance premiums. PFL insurance is a newer offering that is primarily utilized by smaller businesses to offer paid leave benefits to their employees and is available in a growing number of states. Second, it makes the credit available in all states. Third, it lowers the minimum employee work requirement from 1-year to 6-months.
