    — A T₃:T₄ ratio > 20 is seen in the hyperthyroidism due to autonomous thyroid over production such as Graves' disease, toxic adenoma, toxic multinodular goiter, or Hashitoxicosis; it can also be seen in iodine deficient states and in patients taking a T₃ preparation.
