An equation for the structural depression in the freezing point or melting point in a confined geometry, in its compact form: Δ,T_m(x)=(k_GT)/x, where the Gibbs–Thomson coefficient k_GT assumes different values for different liquids and different interfacial geometries (e.g. spherical, cylindrical or planar).
