Chungcheng

— Most districts feature stores which specialize in general reading materials and schools supplies. More serious readers requiring specialized or critical editions would shop along Heng yang Street in Chungcheng district. Here the venerable old printing houses from mainland China, such as the Commercial Press and the Chung Hwa Book Company, relocated after 1949. An additional source for specialized and technical materials is the book stores found around the colleges and universities in Taipei.
