词源

From a 19th-century transcription of Egyptian jmj-dwꜣt (literally “(that which) is in the afterworld”), a title applied to an abridgement of this text in some papyri of the Third Intermediate Period. Older and more complete exemplars of the text instead title it zẖꜣ-n-ꜥt-jmnt (“the Treatise of the Hidden Chamber”).
